I recently joined a new forum for artists, photographers, writers, musicians, it is called Total Art Soul and if you are that way inclined do check it out. On a wintery theme here is a painting I did for Illustration Friday, not far from our woodburner.
Wilderness
Fun with frozen puddles the chilled photographer, I must say that I prefer it to all this rain!

Frozen and then never seen again

Hope all is well where you are, and that you can beat the winter blues!
To have the blues is ~ avoir le cafard. (Cafard is actually cockroach)!!!

LOL ... to have a cockroach... what a great expression for having the blues. And I'm intrigued.. you can cook dinner and sketch at the same time? Amazing!
They are beautiful!! I love your paintings!!
Hey, you know what we should do...swap...I'll swap one of mine for one of yours. What do you think?

thanks for my new phrase (which I actually hope I won't have recourse to use).
Re the petrol strike - after I read about it on an expat forum I shot off to our local garage where a kindly woman saves me getting petrol over my hands. She said she didn't know what all the fuss was about - the tankers had arrived like normal. She said it had been all the Brits rushing to her that morning - what a surprise!
I love that painting of yours - I'm so glad you are choosing to feature them more and more.
How is the car doing?
Great artworks as always Blu. Will go and check out the link. Thanks TFx
What a magnificent blue beast! And a very interesting link too. Thank you for the lovely comment you left on my blog.
I checked the link but forgot to leave a comment here.
Like FF, I'm glad you are featuring more of your art.
I still have the winter blues. Not long now.
Hi Blu. I am a regular reader of the blog, but I'm afraid a poor responder. I felt the need to stick up for the winter; I like the winter as its time to harvest wood for carving. winter harvested wood has less sap and therefore takes less time to dry. I love the cold on my face when walking the dog and a warm coffee when we stop to look for sphaeroblasts and fallen timber.
As always the pictures are great.
Regards Dave
Blue cockroaches? Well, That's different.
Amazing artwork. I LOVE "Wilderness", it brings out emotion in me.
