Fragile life part two

~ As every thread of gold is valuable, so is every moment of time~ John Mason ~

What happens when three Flickr photographers go out and about in Brittany?...Why we get in each others shots, get out of the way! Petit Minou, Purpleruthie, & Blu.

We went on a hot summers day, to take a look at the Champ Dolent, one of the many menhir's (huge stones) in Bretagne.

Tall stories & a Tall Stone!

There are many myths and folklores, about this Menhir, one is that a battle was once fought between two feuding brothers. When the fighting was at its height, and the field was running with blood, the menhir sprang up between the two sides, amazed by the miracle, the armies ceased fighting and made peace.

Little and Large

Location of the Champ Dolent HERE.

French word surgir for a person or animal to suddenly spring up, not sure about large stones!

Setting the tone

Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realise they were the big things. ~ Antonio Smith

Following on from last week, here are some popular pictures off my Flickr Stats, I kind of like having no control, other than I am not repeating recent photographs or my art.

Around the fields on a frosty morning just walking the dog.
Two toneA really old shot, of some beautiful blue bells.
DingDong

A recent shot in the forest I love the way this tree is wearing fallen leaves, some from other trees.
Winter Mannequin
June 2009, a walk in a park in Fougeres.
Summer Roses
On a day trip to a lovely part of Normandie (2009) I saw these rather odd benches.
The Living Bench

We had snow last February and when the roads are clear it is great to walk in the forest.
Soft Shadows

You really can take pictures everywhere, this one was taken at the recycle bins. (April 2010)
Green Bouquet
Some French words

Tone (sound)~ tonalité

Tone of voice ~ ton

Tone up your body ~ tonifier

Talking about tone and deafness, I think dogs like Clive do a great job assisting people. Lots of dogs are trained to help people with disabilities. Clive helps a young lad in Ireland who has Autism, if you have never seen CLIVE click on the link HERE
