I recently put a picture on Flickr which I called haunted. The origins of the word haunted.
I like the word Spooky, however sinister in French is sinistre, the word sinistré with that stress at the end has been heard on the news recently. Some people in France have had terrible floods sweep through their homes. Sinistre.

Isn't there also something about left-handed and the word 'sinister'? In Italian etymology (is that the right word?)
