I discover that so much learning can be done from home these days, really most people who have access to the internet and good health have every chance to be inspired and learn a new skill.

I am slowly picking up links to blogs/forums etc via Twitter, this is my second attempt to try and find out what Twitter is all about. Some of the places that I visit inspire me to get on with my art/photography. I now follow more blogs via Twitter and Facebook and good old fashioned email than I do by looking at my blogroll...sorry if I missed your posts. oops.

Why & a Fly

Earlier I was asked to help find some information by searching the Internet.

First task I was asked if I would find out why the boats that take tourists up the river Seine in Paris are called the Bateau Mouche. Simple eh.. It has been a long time since I went to Paris and I am not sure when or if I will go again but I have taken the trip along the river. Here is another link.

Secondly I was asked to search for a hotel, not in Paris but further afield. But after much browsing and digesting facts I got to that that angry stage where you curse the screen, because when I had found something that might fit the bill but the price was the hardest thing to find!!.....curse, grump, growl. So why dont they want to show me the price?..grrrrrrr.Not simple at all.

Talking to my friend earlier today she reminded me that children constantly ask why. I remember I did. I think that why is good because if there comes a day when we can no longer ask why something bad will have happened.!

I could not sleep last night

I made the mistake of using Stumble, and went through loads of blogs. Did I find a blog that I could connect with...no not really. I found weird but not wonderful. People living on a dollar and people who were tres chic.

I learnt something new too, if I understood wikipedia correctly at 3.30 am. I found a blog entry written by a man on his 64th birthday, he was in prison in America and he had been there for 30 years. And there were no further entries so I looked up information on the Internet he had been imprisoned for killing two FBI agents, but he has said that he is innocent. After his 64th birthday he was moved to another prison and then beaten up by inmates. What I also learnt was that if you are in prison you cannot always vote in the Presidential elections but you can run for President!
